Class
Completely open! You can paddle anything that floats. Sea kayak, surf ski, race kayak, windsurf board. Anything that can be propelled by means of a paddle is allowed. Results are differentiated only in terms of one person (K1) or more than one person (K2).

Rules
ALL PADDLING IS DONE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK AND RESPONSIBILTY!  Use common sense. NOBODY TAKES ANY RESPONSIBILITY OTHER THAN YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO AT SEA! There will be no back-up or support boat along the route that can pick you up. (There will be no back-up or support available during the entire race). Pack and equip yourself as if you were paddling alone around Orust (But of course it’s great fun to paddle as a group). The following rules apply:

- You are entirely your own responsibility
- You travel without a trace. I.e., leave no rubbish or scrap behind.
- You must carry with you a watch or GPS to show the time (see reasons below)
- You travel only with the aid of a paddle (carrying your kayak over land is forbidden).
- Orust shall be circumnavigated anti-clockwise.
- Bassholmen
must be passed on the North and West side on the route to Vallerö
- You must be self sufficient. A support team is not allowed, but of course it’s ok to share a tent with a friend.

We do this to have fun as a group. Disruptive or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in expulsion from the event by means of a vote.

Elapsed time/ranking
Even though the nature of the event is extremely relaxed, it is still a competition. To avoid the need for official timekeepers each participant records their own time. Therefore, all participants shall synchronise their watches at the morning Skipper’s meetings. When you reach the finish on Vallerö, note down the exact time you step ashore. During the evening a results list for Day 1 will be compiled. Day 2 follows the same procedure. At the finish in Ljungskile there will be a results list for the entire race, where the person or persons with the fastest total time in each respective class (K1/K2) will be deemed the winner

You will be happy by paddling around Orust =)
